The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) on Long Island pays a stipend + travel (totally $5K/student) for undergraduates to spend 10 weeks at the lab doing research with a BNL researchers/mentors. There is housing on site and the program is well-run with strong support for all aspects of the students’ time and needs. It is a great experience that can be life-changing, especially for first-generation students and those from underrepresented populations. There is more information about the SULI program at:
