HSF/Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Program, Deadline: November 1, 2011

The HSF/Marathon Oil Corporation College Scholarship Program is a scholarship of up to $15,000 per year. Selected students may receive up to $15,000 for two academic years for a possible total award of $30,000.

In addition, scholars will be offered the opportunity to participate in a possible paid 8-10 week summer internship at various Marathon Oil Corporation locations. Scholars will also be paired with a Marathon Oil Corporation employee who will serve as a professional mentor.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Be of Hispanic American, African American, Asian Pacific Islander American, or American Indian/Alaskan Native heritage.

• Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

• Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.

• Be a current Sophomore majoring in Accounting, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology/Geosciences, Information Technology (IT/MIS), Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Supply Chain Management (Management).

• Or be a current Senior planning to enroll in a Master's degree program in Geology, Geophysics or Petroleum Engineering.

• Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

ASEE Program Scholarships


SMART SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. The Science, Mathematics & Research for Transformation (SMART) program is now accepting online applications until December 1, 2011. SMART is an opportunity for students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines to receive a full scholarship and be employed upon degree completion at a Department of Defense research facility. NASA AERONAUTICS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program, offered by the agency's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, is still accepting online applications through January 17, 2012. The scholarship provides an opportunity for highly motivated students pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering and related disciplines to receive a stipend ranging from $15,000 (Undergraduate) to $35,000 (Graduates) a year with an optional paid summer internship at a NASA Research Facility. Students are covered for up to two years of support with an optional third year for graduate students. OTCR Consulting is an entirely student-run consulting firm at the University of Illinois. Our clients include small businesses, technology startups, Fortune 50 companies and non-profit organizations. We work on a variety of projects ranging from marketing and strategy to technology integration. As a consultant in OTCR, you will be able to learn new skills by engaging with real clients on their most challenging business and technology problems.
