Description
The
Freshman Engineering Program in the College of Engineering at the University of
Arkansas, Fayetteville, seeks applications for the position of Associate
Director, Student Services Program. This position is a full-time, twelve-month
position with fringe benefits. The Associate Director provides leadership to
the Student Services Program and supports other academic functions of the
Freshman Engineering Program.
Annual Salary
Salary
is based upon the qualifications of the successful candidate. The fringe
benefit package offered by the University is competitive.
Minimum Requirements
A post-graduate degree in higher education or engineering
education is required. Significant experience in leading student services
activities is required.
Applicants must demonstrate the skills necessary to conduct
assessment of program activities, to perform scholarship related to program
activities, to interact with constituents as appropriate, and to manage
financial matters. The successful individual will plan the College of
Engineering activities associated with New Student Orientation, coordinate the
activities designed to assist first-year engineering students with choosing
their discipline-specific major, coordinate the Freshman Engineering Program
Honors Research Symposium, coordinate academic assistance programs for
first-year engineering students, and serve on college and university committees
as appropriate. The successful individual will also serve as the academic
advisor to a significant portion of the Freshman Engineering student body.
