The Engineering Research Center (ERC) for Re-inventing the Nation's Urban Water Infrastructure (ReNUWIt) at the University of California at Berkeley has one undergraduate research position available for Summer 2012.
Potential projects include:
-Life cycle analysis of water infrastructure
-Urban stream restoration and biological assessment techniques
-Removal of chemical and microbial contaminants from stormwater using bio-infiltration basins
-Removal of micropollutants and pathogens from wastewater using unit process constructed wetlands
-Removal of viruses from wastewater using a Membrane Bioreactor
