New Minor in Mollecular and Cellular Biology

The new MCB minor, administered by the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology, is designed to provide students with an understanding of foundational principles of physiology, cellular and developmental biology, microbiology, molecular genetics and biochemistry. A minor in Molecular and Cellular Biology will prepare students for training in medicine and other health sciences, for graduate studies in related disciplines, as well as for employment opportunities in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

In order to gain acceptance into the minor students must have completed or be enrolled in MCB 150. Integrative Biology and Biochemistry Specialized Curriculum Students are ineligible. Interested students should meet with an MCB Advisor in room 173 Burrill after August 15, 2011 for approval.
