Toyota Scholarship, Deadline: July 11, 2011

Eligibility Requirements:- Be of Hispanic heritage.
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. All legal permanent residents must submit a copy of their valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired).
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be pursuing first undergraduate degree.
- Must submit a resume with the application.
- Have a permanent address in one of these regions:
     - Greater Los Angeles, CA
     - Houston, TX
     - San Antonio, TX
     - New York City, NY
     - Miami, FL (Broward, Miami-Dade Counties)
     - Atlanta, GA
     - Chicago, IL
- AND attend an accredited four-year college or university in one of these regions (listed above) as a FULL-TIME student in a degree-seeking program during the 2011-2012 academic year.

HSF/Verizon Scholarship Program, Deadline: July 20, 2011

Eligibility Requirements:
- Be of Hispanic heritage

- Be an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at a four-year U.S. accredited college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, or Guam
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
- Must attend an institution in one of the following states: California, Florida, New Jersey, New York, or Texas
- Must be majoring in one of the following:
     - Accounting (New Jersey only), Business Administration (includes Sales and Commerce), Finance (New Jersey only), Human Resource Management (New Jersey only), Management (includes Retail Management), Communications, Marketing, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology (IT/MIS), Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering

Xerox Scholarship, Deadline: September 30th, 2011

Who is eligible for the Xerox Scholarship?

-Applicants must be academic high-achievers (3.0 or better GPA).
-Applicants must be US citizens or visa-holding Permanent Residents of African American, Asian, Pacific Island, Native American, Native Alaskan, or Hispanic descent.
-They must be enrolled as a full time undergraduate or graduate student in any of the following technical fields:
   - Chemistry
   - Information Management
   - Computing & Software Systems
   - Material Science
   - Printing Management Science
   - Laser Optics
   - Physics
   - Material Science

Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans, Deadline: November 1, 2011

Thirty Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans will be awarded in 2012 on the basis of a single national competition. Each fellowship supports up to two years of graduate study – in any field and in any advanced degree-granting program – in the United States.

Each award is for up to $25,000 in maintenance grants and up to $20,000 in tuition support for each year of graduate study supported, a total of as much as $90,000.

The deadline for submission of completed applications is* November 1, 2011.*

To be eligible, you must be:
- A New American (a green card holder or naturalized citizen if born abroad; a child of naturalized citizens if born in this country).
- Not yet 31 years old, as of the application deadline.
- A college senior or holder of a bachelor’s degree.
- Not beyond your second year – if already enrolled -- in the graduate degree program for which you request support.
